I love the artwork, music, and sound design! I feel like I was left fighting the controls more than anything else however. At least on mouse and keyboard it's very unintuitive and feels very awkward to use.

Very nice game! Love the art and aesthetic. The movement and combat was a little awkward until I switched to controller and then it felt natural and smooth. The final boss battle was TOUGH but very engaging. I love the addition of a second attack stage for the boss

The art work and aesthetic is quite amazing tbh. Music's great too. Enjoyed it! I'd be fooled to think this game was a an indie game in Steam with how polished it looks . well done. Music sounds great too , the audio isnt looped seamlessly but that a minor complaint. really impressed

Neat little game ! Though, the boss was an absolute pain to kill, mainly due to my controls not getting registered consistently (especially jumps) and weird hitboxes.

Great job anyway !

and here I thought that room layout lookedfamiliar.
I am pretty sure I played this before, be it some kind of demo or something, jsut with way simpler graphics and such

nice game by the way.
the boss sure took some getting used to though

I had a great time with this! Legit fun for how lil of a game this is, game jam submission or not.

The art & sprite work for this game looks cuuuute, while the music was very nice to listen to while venturing through. Controls & movement were simple & fun to mess with, the camera was very good to see the near surroundings, the heart & platforming challenges near the end felt satisfying to pull, and the ? creature was a nice challenge with how much health it has.

If I had to mention some things that threw me off a bit/were funny is being able to spam the log fire SFX and those flying enemies moving a bit erratically when returning to their spawn point, but even then, those aren't anything THAT bad.

With what this has already, I could DEFINETELY the potential on what you're capable of, it's really inspiring as I'm really eager to make a game myself. Whatever you have in store, I wish you the best of luck!!!!! :v

Super cute art, and the controls feel super good! The double jump is having some issues for me though? It likely could be a web browser issue so maybe release a downloadable version?

(1 edit)

Thanks! In terms of the double jump, is not responding consistently or something?  I now updated the browser version to its latest version and added a downloadable version. Did that help?

The ability works perfectly now!
